Overview

This Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace has been accredited by the regulators of England and Ofqual and is part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework it is supported by Proskill, the Sector Skills Council for the process and manufacturing sector. The aim of the course is to provide learners with knowledge of the basic health and safety practices that are essential in the workplace. This includes the hazards and risks presented in the workplace along with the relevant legislation, and ensure awareness of cost-effective, practical control methods.

Course Structure

This qualification is made up of one mandatory unit that learners must successfully complete in order to achieve the qualification. This award can be taken as a freestanding qualification or as part of a wider programme of training. Our training utilises the very latest learning methods with special emphasis placed on student participation in interactive techniques and skills. Overall the aim of our training is to share knowledge and practical experience through tutor led sessions that build upon the experience so that all participants become confident with the basic practices of health and safety within the work environment. The qualification is assessed by a 30 question multiple-choice examination. The duration of the examination is 1 hour. Successful candidates must achieve a score of at least 20 out of 30.
