The Blue Lamp Trust’s mission is to improve community safety in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The Bobby Scheme, a free service offering support and assistance to the elderly and vulnerable, is financed through the Blue Lamp Trust’s driver training, safety training and taxi driver assessments and fundraising efforts. The work of the Blue Lamp Trust is supported by the local emergency services with executives from the Ambulance, Fire & Rescue and Police services serving as Trustees.

THE BOBBY SCHEME

The Blue Lamp Trust has its origin in the Bobby Scheme which was founded in 1998 with backing from Hampshire Police and Hampshire County Council. When funding was cut, a group of local officials and executives got together to make sure this invaluable service could continue its work.

MEET THE TEAM

The Blue Lamp Trust could not deliver its services without the dedication and hard work of its staff and its Trustees. The team benefits from a broad range of experience in government, law, emergency services, driver training and commercial enterprise.

OUR PARTNERS

We are proud to have developed strong relationships with local and national businesses and organisations. Their ongoing support enables us to help bring peace of mind to the vulnerable and to reduce and prevent crime and fire in the home.

As a charity, the Bobby Scheme relies on donations to fund our work. Please consider helping us to help the vulnerable and elderly.
