The Blue Lamp Trust is proud to have developed strong relationships with local and national businesses and organisations. Their ongoing support enables us to help bring peace of mind to the vulnerable and to reduce and prevent crime and fires in the home. The Blue Lamp Trust works in close partnership with the emergency services, our sponsors and donors, as well as licensing and local authorities. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their continuing support and enthusiasm for everything we do.

At Enterprise we choose to use the BLT because they provide excellent driver training, but also because our values are well aligned….one of our founding values: “We strengthen our communities one neighbourhood at a time”. Very true for @BlueLampTrust!

The emergency services
The emergency services play an important part in the success of the Blue Lamp Trust and its charity, the Bobby Scheme. We are based at Hampshire Police & Fire HQ and the Chief Constable of Police for Hampshire & Isle of Wight and the Chief Fire Officer for Hampshire & Isle of Wight are trustees of the Blue Lamp Trust Board. Their role as a trustee is to develop the strategic plan, the values and the overall standards of the Blue Lamp Trust.

Our sponsors
Our sponsors are absolutely critical to our success. Without their support we would not be able to deliver the FREE services we currently provide to the elderly and the vulnerable, offering reassurance and restoring a sense of security within their own homes particularly after a burglary. The generosity of our sponsors enables us to deliver.

Our donors
Our donors often include carers, loved ones and people we have been able to help in the past. We are always humbled by their generosity and would like to thank them for their contribution to the Bobby Scheme and for helping us to bring peace of mind to so many people.

Licensing Authorities
The Blue Lamp Trust has been conducting taxi assessments across the UK since 2011 with a network of DVSA Fleet Approved Assessors. The proceeds from the business go to support the Bobby Scheme, providing FREE services to the elderly and the vulnerable, offering reassurance and restoring a sense of security within their own home particularly after a burglary.

Currently over 100 local authorities trust the Blue Lamp Trust with their taxi driver assessments. Our close links with the emergency services, our exacting standards and our track record coupled with our short lead time for assessments have made us a reliable partner for many licensing authorities around the country.

Local Authorities
The Blue Lamp Trust’s charity, the Bobby Scheme, currently provides services across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. We work with local authorities to identify those who may need support. Their staff refer clients to the Bobby Scheme and we provide FREE practical services which aim to bring peace of mind to the vulnerable and elderly, providing reassurance or restoring a sense of security within their own home particularly after a burglary. Find out more about the Bobby Scheme here.

As a charity, the Bobby Scheme relies on donations to fund our work. Please consider helping us to help the vulnerable and elderly.
