For the elderly, vulnerable and victims of burglary or domestic crime, the Bobby Scheme ensures confidence and reduces the fear of crime. Anyone can make a referral including friends and family, GPs, social workers and emergency services.

The Bobby Scheme: Who is eligible?

The Bobby Scheme aims to help those who are vulnerable, whether that is because of age or situation. This includes those who are:

  • Over 65
  • Disabled
  • Victim of burglary
  • Vulnerable due to health
  • Repeat victim of crime
  • Victim of domestic abuse

The service is open to residents of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Please note we do not carry out general property repairs, glazing, installation of CCTV or any electrical work.

Other Restrictions

Please note that where the occupant is a tenant and not the owner occupier they will need to seek consent from their landlord before we are able to carry out any physical work.

Also be aware that we cannot change locks at a jointly owned property without the consent of all parties.
